Granny’s for purchase patterns are being transferred over to the Free Patterns page, one by one. Recently, I decided I need to get back to the basics and enjoy crocheting again — to alleviate stress, not add more to my plate! Building this site and adding tutorials and videos is a lot of fun, and I want to keep it that way. The 18-inch doll mermaid blanket is back on this page as a COMPLETE FREE PATTERN. It is one of the most popular patterns, but also there has been some confusion with the links propagated out there in Free Crochetland and I apologize for that.
In honor of Valentine’s Day and this Winter’s Very Cold Spell — the Winter Ensemble for 18-inch dolls is NOW FREE on this website! Keep your doll warm for what’s left of this winter and many winters to come! CLICK HERE for pattern.
I have been taking a long winter’s nap as far as this website goes, but I certainly have been filling my time with personal crochet projects and other interests. Luckily Michelle came up with a nice and easy winter headband for teens — easy enough for them to make themselves! Thank you Michelle! — click here for free pattern. Also, a big shout out to Sandy for finding a whopping error in my Sweater and Beanie pattern for dolls which I have now corrected!
So far Granny has spent the New Year down with the flu, but she managed to get well enough to crochet this adorable baby blanket! Granny Squares are a lot of fun to make and easy to take along with you when you are on the run. Use this video project to make a baby blanket for a new little one you love, or alter the pattern with thicker yarn and a larger hook to make a nice throw for watching TV on those cold winter nights! With the holiday season in full swing, I just added a new last minute Christmas Stocking PATTERN for sale in both my Ravelry Store and Etsy Shop. These adorable 11-inch-long stockings are approximately the same length as a child’s party treat bag, but maybe slightly more narrow. Use your imagination and add embellishments to personalize your petite party stockings. Fill them full of treats, gift cards or little gifts! The perfect size for a personal gift.
Midnight is quick approaching, but I needed to get the word out on this cute little pattern before Christmas crocheting begins. I have made and sold many of these little sets. You can make them as simple or as embellished as you wish. This is a great project for scrap yarn and buttons, etc. I am writing this with my eyes only half open, so give a holler if you find a mistake or two! Otherwise, please enjoy!
Before you run out to your favorite yarn supplier to battle the Black Friday crowds, be sure to check out my latest pattern for 18-inch dolls! The new Winter Ensemble pattern is available in both Granny’s Etsy and Ravelry shops, and a FREE Sneak Peek has also been posted here at Granny’s Crochet Shoppe! While you are purchasing yarn for that new winter ensemble, please pick up some Caron Simply Soft to whip up a few doll dresses to give as gifts — Granny’s 18-inch doll dress with buttons pattern is back as a permanent FREE Pattern on this site!
I couldn’t wait four more days to share a sneak peek of my new Christmas stocking patterns, so HERE it is! Both are available for purchase from my Ravelry store and my Etsy shop! The Dress with Buttons for 18-inch dolls will remain free through October, then it will be available for purchase. A new video project and stitch tutorial will be posted this week, along with another new sneak peek on Thanksgiving! Stay Tuned….
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control I will no longer be offering temporary 30-day free patterns. Instead I will add a new pattern to my Ravelry.com shop every 30 days and include a FREE “sneak peak” on my website. Thank you for browsing my growing collection of permanent Free patterns, Video projects, and Tutorials at Granny’s Crochet Shoppe. Coming in November are a basic Christmas Stocking (with space for personalization) and a Winter Ensemble for 18-inch dolls, along with a new free project and tutorial.
It is not too soon to start crocheting some beanies and doll dresses for holiday gift-giving! Autumn has arrived with a few new basic stitch tutorials, a new beanie video project, and a new 30-day free pattern for a basic 18-inch doll dress with buttons. Don’t forget there is still time to whip up a Halloween Treat Bag to match your little goblin’s Halloween costume! The free doll mermaid pattern has expired, but it is available for purchase from my Ravelry.com store. Happy Haunting!
