    • Pretty Purses

I have been on a crusade to put a major dent in my yarn stash. I noticed that my 6-year old granddaughter was using a purse I had crocheted for her three years ago when she was just 3 years old. It was quite small and did not have enough room to fit everything she tried to stuff inside. She chose some colors from my yarn collection, and I came up with this pattern! Perhaps pastel yarn and pearl buttons would really turn out cute for a spring fashion statement! Free pattern HERE

Granny’s for purchase patterns are being transferred over to the Free Patterns page, one by one. Recently, I decided I need to get back to the basics and enjoy crocheting again — to alleviate stress, not add more to my plate! Building this site and adding tutorials and videos is a lot of fun, and I want to keep it that way. The 18-inch doll mermaid blanket is back on this page as a COMPLETE FREE PATTERN. It is one of the most popular patterns, but also there has been some confusion with the links propagated out there in Free Crochetland and I apologize for that.

20180123_221604999874827.jpgI have been taking a long winter’s nap as far as this website goes, but I certainly have been filling my time with personal crochet projects and other interests. Luckily Michelle came up with a nice and easy winter headband for teens — easy enough for them to make themselves!  Thank you Michelle! — click here for free pattern.  Also, a big shout out to Sandy for finding a whopping error in my Sweater and Beanie pattern for dolls which I have now corrected!

So far Granny has spent the New Year down with the flu, but she managed to get well enough to crochet this adorable baby blanket!  Granny Squares are a lot of fun to make and easy to take along with you when you are on the run.  Use this video project to make a baby blanket for a new little one you love, or alter the pattern with thicker yarn and a larger hook to make a nice throw for watching TV on those cold winter nights!  Click here for the Video Project on my YouTube Channel.

      Petite Stockings

With the holiday season in full swing, I just added a new last minute Christmas Stocking PATTERN for sale in both my Ravelry Store and Etsy Shop.  These adorable 11-inch-long stockings are approximately the same length as a child’s party treat bag, but maybe slightly more narrow.  Use your imagination and add embellishments to personalize your petite party stockings. Fill them full of treats, gift cards or little gifts!  The perfect size for a personal gift.

Midnight is quick approaching, but I needed to get the word out on this cute little pattern before Christmas crocheting begins.  I have made and sold many of these little sets. You can make them as simple or as embellished as you wish. This is a great project for scrap yarn and buttons, etc. I am writing this with my eyes only half open, so give a holler if you find a mistake or two!  Otherwise, please enjoy!
