I purchased some beautiful tie-dyed wool yarn last summer from a vendor at the “By the Sea” Art and Seafood Festival in Coffman Cove, Alaska. It has been almost a year now that I have been waiting for just the right project to come along to use that yarn. Last night I decided to use it to reward myself with a brand new Handy Bag, as opposed to the Halloween Treat Bag I had been using up until now. I think it turned out great!
I crocheted one additional row along the bottom of the bag which resulted in two more additional stitches around, thus using 15 stitches on each handle, rather than 14 per side. Then I added a matching ribbon through both sides of the bag to keep things more securely situated inside. I love it!
This bag is going to be a lot of fun through the summer along with the new Very Versatile Tote I posted about a week ago. And…I am so excited to have a storefront set up directly on my website now. Although I still have shops on Etsy and Ravelry, this new online store has me really motivated to start working on new patterns to sell directly from my website! ~ Happy Easter, Everyone!
