Handy Bag — Perfect bag for any age — Granny to Granddaughter!

This is a FREE PATTERN for you to Enjoy!

TRUE CONFESSION —  I kept reaching for my Halloween Treat Bag whenever I needed the perfect bag to carry a small crochet project, Kindle Reader, snacks, small toys for the grandchildren. It started innocently enough., but orange and green reflective yarn was sort of cramping my style.  I tweaked that pattern and came up with an everyday version in the form of this handy bag.  This would be a terrific bag for every age from Grandma to Mom to Daughter to Granddaughter.  PS. I added a flower to my Halloween Treat bag, and my 5-year-old granddaughter LOVES it!

MATERIALS:

  • 2 skeins Premier Brand Sweet Roll yarn, approximately 150-180* yards per skein needed.
  • K / 6.50 mm Crochet Hook

*NOTE: With conservative use of yarn, it is possible to complete 3 handy bags using 4 Sweet Rolls.

  • ch = chain

Gauge: 6 sc or  6 rows =  2 inches

Completed Dimensions: 11 inches H x 9.5 inches W x 1.25-1.5 inch gusset.
