Ribbed Winter Headband

This is a FREE pattern for you to Enjoy — compliments of Michelle from Willows Bee Lane!
This pattern will make a stretchy ribbed headband
MATERIALS:
- Big Twist Value Yarn (any color) OR Lily sugar and cream (*Big twist will make a thicker headband, lily sugar and cream will make a lighter headband.)
- J / 6.00 mm Crochet Hook
- Plastic Yarn Needle
STITCHES:
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- BLO = back loop only
*NOTE* This pattern will make a young adult-adult size headband, for a smaller headband, or skinnier headband, reduce the number of chains and rows.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Row 1: Ch 9. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each chain across. Chain 1,Turn (Total of 8 sc)
Row 2-56: *Working in BLO, sc in same st as ch 1 and in each across. Chain 1, Turn* repeat *through*. (Total of 8 sc)
Last Row: Now you are going to sc all the way around the headband so there is a finished look.
Do 1 sc in the same stitch as you last sc so that you can turn the corner.
Space out 56 sc (including corner sc) down the side. Do two more sc in the first ch stitch that you did when you started the headband. (this will make another corner.)
Do 7 sc in the 7 chains across, adding and extra sc to the last chain(to make another rounded corner.)
Space our 56 sc (including the corner sc) down the side.
Make one last sc into top corner and tie off. Leave tail for whip stitching headband together.
Get out a crocheting needle and whip stitch the seam together, putting two stitches per sc. You should end up with around 16 whip stitches.
